11.07.03 ACSA Administrators' Conference
Next week at this time, deans and leaders of architecture schools from across the country will convene in Honolulu, Hawaii, for the annual ACSA Administrators' Conference. Today's issue is a preview of what this esteemed group will be talking about, along with other information and opportunities relating to architectural education.
The recent NAAB Validation Conference, which ArchVoices has focused on a great deal of late, will appropriately be a prominent part of the discussion in Hawaii. However, the accreditation process will be discussed in even greater detail this weekend in Chicago at an official meeting of the NAAB Board of Directors. While the participants of the Validation Conference last month could only discuss and suggest refining the standards used to accredit architecture programs in the U.S., the proverbial buck stops with the NAAB Board, insofar as any actual decisions regarding architectural education are left up to them.
